CEDIA 2023 is a wrap, and the orange pants were back in full force. If you were in Denver, it was great to see you. If you couldn’t make it, this is your inside look at what we shared.

Smarter QuickBooks Integration

We previewed a major update to Portal’s QuickBooks Online integration, designed to give you more control over how proposals sync into your accounting system.

Including:

  • Choose how proposals push into QuickBooks

  • Create a single line for parts and another for labor, based on dealer feedback

This gives you cleaner estimates, fewer sync issues, and a smoother handoff from sales to finance.

Bring Your Own Payment Processor

Next up: Portal Payments is getting more flexible.

We're adding support for QuickBooks Payments, Stripe, and Square, so you can use your own processor while still getting the benefits of Portal’s payments flow, like

  • Convenience fees for credit cards

  • Instant deposit requests when a client signs

  • Faster payouts and better rates

It’s the best of both worlds. More control. Less admin.

Change Orders

Once a proposal is accepted, it’ll be locked for editing. Any changes will trigger a change order, either

  • Internal (for tracking only)

  • Client-facing (for approval)

Change orders live inside the original proposal, with a color-coded change history your client can click through. It’s all visible through the same live project link they already have.
