Portal's latest Zoho integration brings powerful automation tools to your workflow, helping professional integrators connect proposals, contacts, and deals across CRM and financial systems with ease. From searching and importing contacts to syncing proposals with Zoho Books and CRM Deals, Portal is making business operations smoother than ever.
Streamline Operations Across CRM and Financial Systems
If you're like most professional integrators, your day is split across tools and platforms — CRM for sales, Portal for proposals, and accounting software for financials. With the new Zoho integration, Portal eliminates the friction between these steps by connecting your client and proposal workflows directly to Zoho CRM and Zoho Books. It’s all about saving time and avoiding double data entry while keeping your business running seamlessly.
How to Set It Up and Use It
Setting up the integration is easy. Once our team lets you into the Beta program, just head to Settings > Integrations in Portal, locate the Zoho tile, and connect your account. From there, you can tailor your integration settings:
Contact Imports: Choose whether to pull from Zoho CRM or Zoho Books when searching for contacts.
Quote Preferences: Decide whether every proposal line item should be imported or if summaries (like labor or parts) are more your style.
Item Creation Controls: Define what categories and accounting codes new items should use when added to Zoho Books.
When creating a new proposal, searching for a contact from Zoho is as simple as searching within Portal’s own database. You’ll see detailed search results, including account names and contact types. And if you run into duplicate contacts — no problem. Portal gives you smart options to merge data cleanly and keep your records accurate.
Once a proposal is accepted, push it to Zoho Books with a few clicks. Portal will automatically match existing products and clients or create new entries if needed. Everything from Sonos speakers to custom labor charges are handled smoothly — with no risk of duplication or mismatched accounts.
Deal Syncing Between Portal and Zoho CRM
One of the most exciting features on the horizon is the Deals integration. You can link a Portal proposal directly to a Zoho CRM deal. When proposal statuses change (like Submitted, Accepted, or Declined), the deal stages in Zoho will auto-update.
Map your deal stages to Portal statuses, and from there, Portal will take care of updating deal values, close dates, and even add proposal activity history — giving your sales team full visibility without any manual updates. Whether you’re linking to an existing deal or creating a new one, it’s all built to make your sales process frictionless.
A Smarter Way to Work
The Zoho integration brings key advantages to integrators of all sizes:
Time Savings: Automate manual data entry and reduce duplication.
Accuracy: Merge and sync contacts, items, and deals with precision.
Flexibility: Customize your quote and accounting workflows to match your business needs.
Professionalism: Ensure consistent client records and proposals across CRM and accounting platforms.
This feature is built for installers who are tired of tedious admin work. Whether you're a solo operator or a team of 20, the Portal-Zoho connection helps you look more professional and work more efficiently.
