iPoint Proposal Integration

In January of 2023, we expanded our API with iPoint to include proposals. There are two main ways Portal and iPoint work together:

Sync your catalog
Import items from Portal into iPoint’s Items module, keeping product data up to date.

Push proposals
Import a proposal from Portal into iPoint’s Proposal module, moving deals seamlessly into your iPoint workflow.

Connecting iPoint to Portal

  1. In iPoint, go to Settings > Integrations > Portal.

  2. Enter your Portal username and password.

  3. Click Get API Key.

That’s it. Your accounts are now connected.

Importing a Portal Proposal into iPoint

  1. In the iPoint Proposal List, go to Options > Advanced.

  2. Click Fetch Portal Proposals.

  3. Search for the proposal you want to import.

  4. Click Import Proposal.

iPoint will compare the proposal ID to your existing records, confirm it’s not a duplicate, and then guides you through the rest of the import.

Tip: Proposals set to Accepted in Portal will import fully, including all options. If not accepted, only the first option in each area will import
